Doin' it SenegalStyle!

April 13, 2013

I am an American woman living in Dakar, Senegal, West Africa.  (15 yrs).  I run a variety of small businesses and co-operatives under the umbrella name, ‘SenegalStyle’ with local market ladies and artists.  We are a wholesale to the public company, so if you’re a small business person (or would like to become one), just let me know.  I’m sure we could find something that would be a good ‘fit’ for your market.  No minimum orders for samples and reasonably priced wholesale orders, most under $100.

In addition, I have a b&b homestay guesthouse and touring service (top rated on TripAdvisor, the internet’s largest travel portal – just put ‘SenegalStyle’ in the TripAdvisor.com search engine) as well as an African drum school and several language programs that I organize for visiting Anglophone students (French, Arabic, Wolof and other tribal languages for West African studies students).

My clothing line is taking off with the addition of ‘Church Lady Hats’ to the line up.  I will be marketing them to bridal shops to sell as an add on to bridesmaids dresses.  Don’t you think it’s a good idea to make our weddings look a bit more formal?  (8 hats for $135.50 including shipping).

It’s an easy business to get in to because currently, NO ONE is doing this… it’s an open market!  Targeting not only bridal shops but churches and older women as well as people going to racetracks – ladies like to wear hats at the races on opening day.  You can market them at 8 for $200 for example, the bridal shops can sell them as an accessory for $50 each and everyone is happy with an easy profit!  All you have to do is send me an email with the photo links you customer orders and $135.50 thru paypal (about $16 a hat including shipping), I can drop ship them from here or send them out to you and you deliver to the customer.

It’s not difficult to start a business, it’s only difficult to find people with enough hustle to just do it!

Anyway, there’s a lot going on here at SenegalStyle and you’re welcome to join in!
